Research interests

My research interests are mainly related to topics in environmental geology and geohazards especially waste management and recycling. I am also interested in site selection for suitable areas to construct waste treatment facilities using GIS as well as the selection of suitable areas to build landfill sites. I am also involved in studying the behaviour of polluted soils and ways minimise their negative effects on the environment.

Beside my research interests in environmental geology and geohazards, I am currently concerned with studying the negative effects of current practice in waste management on global warming and possible means to mitigate these effects.
